This essay will be a blessing to anyone who just can't seem to get their idea out into the world, or feels like it takes FOREVER to launch something. Keep reading and I'll tell you the cause and the remedy.
Coach,
Be honest. You could have already launched a more simple version of your offer and started making money and getting clients ... but you're stuck trying to make it "perfect" and pretty ... in addition to making it way too big and complicated.
Let's discuss!
Look, your offer or idea or blog or whatever doesn't need to be big, complicated, "perfect" or "pretty".
It just needs to help someone. Now.
This is where an MVP come in. MVP stands for Minimum Viable Product.
And despite how techy that phrase sounds, it’s actually a very gentle idea.
It simply asks: What is the smallest, simplest version of this idea that works?
And then launch that asap.
Literally every single person you admire or think is successful does this, btw.
Practical example. Let’s say you want to start a podcast.
What do you actually need?
Your voice.
Something to record on.
A place to upload it.
That’s the MVP.
Not a studio microphone.
Not custom intro music.
Not a perfectly branded cover graphic.
YOU DON'T NEED ANY OF THAT.
All of that can come later (if it ever even comes at all).
Right now, the most important thing is that your message exists.
The world doesn’t need the polished version someday. It needs the honest version now.
Keep it simple. Keep it real.
You could literally launch a podcast in the next 10 minutes. Or a website. Whatever.
Whatever it is, someone is out there launching the MVP version of it right now, making money and getting clients while you're version is still sitting in "draft mode".
When you commit to an MVP, a few powerful things happen.
You move faster: Momentum builds confidence far more effectively than planning ever will.
You stop guessing and start learning: Once something exists, you get real feedback. Not imagined fears. Real humans telling you what helped, what landed, and what they want more of.
The pressure drops: An MVP isn’t meant to be perfect. It’s meant to be useful. That alone makes starting feel lighter.
You begin creating value immediately: You don’t need the final version to help someone. If it solves one problem and moves someone forward, it’s already doing its job.
It’s Just Fear Wearing a Fancy Outfit
Perfectionism is often mistaken for integrity or excellence.
And yeah, sometimes it is.
But more often, it’s just fear trying to keep you safe.
Fear of judgment.
Fear of getting it wrong.
Fear of being seen before you feel ready.
An MVP gently sidesteps all of that.
It says: "This isn’t the final version. This is just the first one.”
That permission changes everything.
